Truth For Today
The Truth for Today, Hope for Tomorrow series of evangelistic sermons builds on well thought out and proven Seventh-day Adventist outreach sermons used by many evangelists for many years. It brings up-to-date illustrations and graphics to a solid Biblical foundation. Truth for Today, Hope for Tomorrow is the result of a complete update the Net '96 sermon graphics used by evangelist Mark Finley of It Is Written during the Net '96 North American Division satellite evangelistic campaign.
First we started with the sermon scripts. The first objective was to make sure that whatever changes we did, we did not change the core of the message. The presentations follow very closely the same clear logic used to present Bible truths used by Mark Finley and other Seventh-day Adventist evangelists. Then we updated stories and illustrations with fresh material bringing it in to the 21st century.
Next we went to work on the graphics. When people see the Truth for Today series compared to other programs they comment on how clear and vibrant they are. Even the old paintings that have been used for years look sparkling new. Present Solutions, the design company used to produced this series, has digitally recaptured each one from the original paintings using professional high end digital and optical equipment. Previously when producing evangelistic series for computer graphics artist relied on scans from slides and spent many hours trying to make the scans look good. By recapturing the art, all the detail and original color remains intact.
We sought out many new photographs, most of which were taken with professional digital equipment to get the best quality when used on a computer. Many new sources for photographs are available to draw from that the church has not had access to in the past. Pure digital material has added the final touch to enhance the programs giving them a fresh look.

For a number of years we have been incorporating motion in to our evangelistic presentations. Truth for Today has "upped" the quality standard in this area also. MPEG-2 technology is the highest quality standard for playing video from CD/DVD. MPEG-2 is the technology used in DVD players because it allows a high quality video "stream" while still being able to be compressed enough to distribute on inexpensive disks. The computer versions of Truth for Today includes all video material in both MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 formats. The DVD version of the program only uses MPEG-2 which is compatible with all DVD players and all computers that are equipped for DVD playback.
Finally, we made the whole thing technically easier to use. Automatic installation programs run and guide you through the process of setting up the PowerPoint files on your computer. Once installed, you do not need to have the PowerPoint CD in your computer to do the presentations, everything is ready to go. No extra steps or knowledge needed. The new Sermon Synchronizer software now allows you even greater simplicity in presenting the subjects. The sermon notes are "projected" on your computer laptop screen while the audience sees only the graphics! This high tech innovation was developed by Present Solutions. Software using the Windows dual monitor display mode to synchronize two separate PowerPoint presentations. The notes are in a large easily read typeface.
